Garrett Vortex Tones, Settings and Numbers.

We have not seen much of the Garrett Vortex recently—certainly not in use, and definitely not with the screen, settings, numbers, or tones being shown. Of course, the machine has still been in testing, and that is Garrett’s reasoning for not allowing testers to show anything.

The Vortex is due to appear in stores sometime over the next few weeks, and with that in mind, Garrett has obviously relaxed their non-disclosure policy.

In the following video, Terry and Little Tezza from Diggersden Tezza U.K.M.D show the Vortex powered on, demonstrate the tones, and display the numbers on the screen along with the settings.

The jury is still out on whether this is going to be a good machine. We already know that the Vortex lacks many of the fine adjustments found in other machines at this price point—even in machines at half the price.

Will the Garrett Vortex be a success? Only time will tell, but we’ll be getting one in and putting it through its paces to see how it stacks up against the competition.
