Quest Q30

It has been around 8 months since we first caught a glimpse of new machines from Quest. They were on show at Detectival 2019 and at that time there was going to be a Q30, Q50, and Q60 along with a new Scuba Tector Pro.

Since then we have not heard much but it seems Quest has been busy. The Q50 has been dropped from the lineup and is now replaced by a Quest Q30+.

The company decided that there was too much of a similarity between the Q30 and the Q50 so having two models with very similar spec didn’t quite make sense. The Q30+ retains the wireless audio of the Q50 but at a lower price.

Talking of price,

Quest has revised prices for the UK and the Q30 will now cost £269 with the Q30+ coming in at a very reasonable £359.

There are no prices on the Quest Q60 or Scuba Tector Pro yet but they are expected soon.

Availability

According to the information we have. The Quest Q30 and Quest Q30+ should be available from mid-April and we should have both models in for test and review. We will also try and get the Q60 and Scuba Tector Pro but given recent events with Coronavirus we may not be able to test the latter for quite some time!

Looking at the spec for the new machines though it is clear that Quest has been listening to customer feedback and we are expecting good things from these new detectors. We understand that “beach mode” has been given particular attention so it will be very interesting to see how they perform on British beaches.
