Quest X5 IDmaxX and Quest X10 IDmaxX

Quest Metal Detectors has released two new entry-level machines in the form of the X5 IDMaxX and the X10 IDmaxX. Our understanding is that these will replace the current X5 and X10 Pro models.

The X5 and X10 have always represented value for money, with a good feature set, ease of use and low price there wasn’t anything on the market to compete until recently. However, with budget-priced machines now available from Minelab and Nokta, it was clear that things had moved on and Quest would need to come up with something that would put them back at the top of the leaderboard for performance and price at the entry-level.

Quest-X10-IDmaxX-Side

The main differences between the X5 IDmaxX and the X10 IDmaxX are that the latter sports the larger 11×10″ coil, has more modes and also includes wireless audio built-in although you will need to purchase Quest’s headphones if you want to take advantage of that feature. The headphones do not come with the machine.
