Minelab Vanquish Pro Pack

Details of the long awaited Minelab Vanquish are with us but does this new machine live up to the hype?

Minelab have been painting a picture of their new entry level machine as being the one to “Vanquish The Competition” and from what we have seen so far this could well be the case. It will not however be because of the “Safariesque” control box or the red paint job. Nor will it be due to its weatherproof design because…well it isn’t weatherproof. The ace up the Vanquish sleeve is in the detection method used.

Multi-IQ is the buzz word and not without good reason. The Equinox 600 and 800 are at the top of the detector sales leaderboard pretty much entirely down to their ability to use multiple frequencies simultaneously. And this same tech has been brought to the entry level Vanquish. It should make for an excellent beach machine on both the dry and wet sand but will equally be at home in the field.

The only slight negative is that the Vanquish is not weatherproof..unless of course you put the control box cover on it but then you could say all machines are weatherproof. The coil is waterproof.

There appears to be 4 x search modes. Coin, Relic, Jewellery and one Custom Mode to save your own settings in.

Another nice feature is the wireless audio. I would assume the headphones come with the “Pro Pack” which you can see in the image above and that they will be an option for the basic detector.

The key thing though is definitely that Multi-IQ detection system. Pricing has not yet been announced but is believed to be under £400.00.
